Chief Commercial Officer
John has experience in Management Consulting (Telecoms), Financial Services and 12 years within Sales. His career to date includes being part of impressive growth stories that resulted in acquisitions (Wildfire – Google), post acquisition integration (Adtruth – Experian) and an IPO in 2018 (Eventbrite). A large focus of his work has included double/triple digit revenue growth YoY, restructuring and building sales teams as well as coaching & guiding career development. Outside of work John has 3 children and 2 dogs so its family time and sport on the weekends.
Jeff Lynn
Executive Chairman and Co-Founder
Jeff co-founded Seedrs with Carlos in 2009. He began his career as a corporate lawyer with Sullivan & Cromwell LLP in New York and London, and he serves as a Non-Executive Director of Companies House. He has been named one of the top 10 coolest people in UK tech by Business Insider and one of the most influential men in Britain by GQ.
Jeff Kelisky
Chief Executive Officer
Jeff is an experienced executive with a track record in building, leading and scaling successful technology businesses. Before joining Seedrs, Jeff was CEO for Picsolve, a Fidelity-backed $75 million image capture business in the entertainment space where he delivered the company’s transformation from analogue to digital. Previously, he was CEO of Multimap, Europe’s first and ultimate leader in online mapping service which he led for seven years through the first dotcom crash to a successful sale to Microsoft. In his free time, he enjoys tennis, skiing, cinema, and trying to play COD with his kids.
Karen Kerrigan
Chief Operating Officer
Karen is a qualified lawyer who began her career in Simmons & Simmons LLP’s financial litigation group. She heads our legal, compliance and financial teams, is a Director of the UK Crowdfunding Association, and was named one of the top women in fintech by Innovate Finance.
Ben Aronsten
Chief Marketing Officer
With 14 years experience in digital strategy Ben is an accomplished marketer and entrepreneur, bringing a broad skill set to the team driving overall marketing strategy. He has worked in Europe, America and Australia with both startups and global brands such as MTV and Canon.
Joel Ippoliti
Chief Product Officer
I joined Seedrs in November 2017 and am responsible for the Product, Design, Data and Support teams.
In my time our teams have launched revolutionary new products including: Automated funds, Auto Invest, Private Deal Rooms, Employee equity release and established the world's largest private business secondary marketplace.
Previously I managed a global trading platform, launched the UK's largest financial advisory website, drove global innovation and product for a recorded music business and held various consulting / advisory roles in the technology / product space.
Kirsty Grant
Chief Investment Officer
Kirsty is a qualified lawyer who joined Seedrs from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP. As a corporate lawyer Kirsty focused on mergers and acquisitions, with experience in London, Singapore and Australia. As Chief Investment Officer, Kirsty manages the investment process from campaign review, through to deal execution and post-investment management.
Kate McCutchen
Chief Marketing Officer
Kate is an experienced marketer and business leader who has deep experience in driving transformational growth and commercial excellence. Prior to Seedrs, she led marketing and commercial teams at both publicly traded companies such as Apple, Amazon, and Square and private companies such as Away Travel and Weezy (since sold to Getir). Outside of work, her time is spent hanging out with the snuggliest basset hound in the world, Brisket.
Mark Brooker
Non-Executive Director
Mark’s career began in investment banking at Morgan Stanley and Merrill Lynch, gaining extensive experience raising equity capital and leading mergers and acquisitions for public companies. During this time, he raised over £25 billion of equity capital from public market investors, including 12 IPOs. Mark then went to join Betfair, one of the UK’s largest online betting companies, at the time of its IPO and then subsequently moved to Trainline to take on the role of COO to lead marketing, product development and international growth.
Ian McCaig
Non-Executive Director
Ian is a Board Member and Chair of the Operating Committee at M-Kopa Ltd, the largest provider of off-grid solar services in Africa. He is a Board Member of the British Tourist Authority; Trustee Board Member of English Heritage (where he also Chairs the Audit & Risk Committee) and a Governor of The Leys and St Faith’s Schools Foundation. He was most recently CEO of First Utility (the UK’s largest independent energy retailer) from 2011 to 2017 and was previously CEO of lastminute.com, Europe’s largest independent online travel agent. Ian began his career in the IT industry before moving into telecommunications and spending six years at Nokia, working across Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

Saul is a qualified lawyer who joined us from a top international law firm headquartered in London. As Senior Investment Associate Saul works with entrepreneurs throughout the fundraising process, from campaign review, through to deal execution and post-completion.
Tim Levene
Non-Executive Director
Tim went to the University of Manchester to study Russian and joined Bain & Company in Moscow, Boston, Sydney and London. Tim left Bain in early 1998 and created a new retail concept when he opened his first Juice bar (Fresh n Smooth) in 1999 in Canary Wharf. The business has since evolved into a 31 store business across London called Crussh. In 1999, Tim joined 3 former colleagues from Bain & Company and launched Flutter.com. Flutter merged with Betfair.com in 2001. In 2009 Tim founded Augmentum Capital with the backing of RIT Capital and Lord Rothschild, and focuses on early stage Fintech businesses in Europe. Tim was made a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in 2012.
Jakub Kohout
Finance Director
Jakub joined Seedrs in early 2016 as a Financial Controller and has played a key role in helping Seedrs through significant growth, navigating the impact of Covid-19 and ensuring the company emerges even stronger.
Before joining Seedrs, Jakub worked at EY for six years, where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant and moved up the ranks to serve a variety of audit and non-audit financial services clients. Outside of work, sport and travel are his go-to activities.
Carlos Silva
Co-Founder, Non-Executive Director
Carlos is an IT development and security expert. He is also an active mentor in the thriving Lisbon startup scene, co-founder of Beta-I and was named by Exame as one of the top 40 entrepreneurs under 40 in Portugal.
